VLC 1.1 COM A SOURCE CLIENT DE ICECAST (II)

Amb la nova versió de vlc 1.1.0 avui he vist que fer de source client de icecast és molt més fàcil que quan ho vaig utilitzar per primera vegada amb vlc 0.8 . Amb tres clicks ja tenim el nostre vlc emetent cap el servidor icecast. Gran vlc.

Resum ràpid:

1-Configurar un servidor icecast: instruccions + fitxer configuració icecast.xml

2-Instal·lar vlc 1.1.0: ppa per a ubuntu -> ~~http://ppa.launchpad.net/c-korn/vlc/ubuntu/~~ UPDATED (9/9/10)

3-Obrir vlc i a l'opció de transmetre omplir amb els 4 paràmetres del nostre servidor:

Nova versió de pdpcap. Bàsicament s'ha introduït la opció de poder seleccionar el dispositiu al que volem capturar tràfic. Es pot fer o bé indicant el dispositiu amb l'arg1 del objecte, o bé amb enviament de missatges al objecte. També s'inclou com a exemple una abstraction molt simple (pdpcap_control.pd) que ens permet control·lar fàcilment el pdpcap.

New version of pdpcap. The main change, is that you can select the device that you want snif. It can be done by arg1 of pdpcap object, or sending some "messages2. In the packet is also included as example a very simple abstraction (pdpcap_control.pd) that allows to control pdpcap object easily.

znet_sequencer és un patch de puredata que genera diferents sons amb un "seqüenciador IP". El tràfic de xarxa és capturat per pdpcap , i basant-se en aquest trafic, el seqüenciador IP genera un bang diferent per a cada protocol (ip, tcp, udp i icmp), i en el patch hi ha un sò assignat per a cada protocol depenen de l'opció que s'activi (sampler, drums, sorolls, etcc...).

znet_sequencer 0.1 Puredata patch that generates different sounds with a "ip sequencer". Network traffic is captured by pdpcap , ip sequencer generates a different bang for each protocol (ip, tcp, udp and icmp), and the sound system has the assigned sound for them (sampler, drums, noises, etc...) The "music" (or noise) is generated by a sequencer based on IP network traffic, so as we surf the web it generates a song.
